I’m proud to join my friends and colleagues as their work on veterans employment and sustainable agriculture hits the White House lawn this week!

p100511ck-0065Colin and Karen Archipley, along with two graduates of their Veterans SustainableAgriculture Training (VSAT) program, will assist First Lady Michelle Obama in planting the White House Garden on Thursday.

The Archi’s Acres/VSAT team and Mrs. Obama will be joined in their efforts by a group of kids from Milton Elementary School in Milton, VT.

The planting of the garden is the most visible piece of what will be an incredibly busy week for the delegation from SoCal. The group will also be meeting with legislators in our nation’s capital to advocate for smarter policies surrounding agriculture and veterans employment.
