Bad Decisions in America's Education System | The Real Ratigan

 

Telling people things, showing people things, has very little to no correlation with learning anything. Union management is about jobs for people, jobs for adults–it has nothing to do with learning. Charter schools has everything to do with who puts the money in, who the investors and owners of the school are, which again, has nothing to do with learning. That’s all you need to know about American politics. You get one bad decision, or another bad decision and neither one has anything to do with the actual issue, which in this case, is how human beings learn, which is through group-based problem solving. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a teachers union or a charter school, it matters whether you have children working in groups trying to solve problems.
