As we celebrate Veterans Day, I want to take this time to thank each and every veteran who has served and those who continue to serve in the Armed Forces.

Over the past few years, I have been honored to work with many veterans who are striving to bring about positive change. Their courage and integrity continue to inspire me daily.

Last week as we headed into the Veterans Day weekend, my thoughts were with those who served and the ways these men and women continue to make positive change.

I wrote about my first Marine Corps Ball and what the warriors of Lima Co., 3/1 taught me about unoffendability.

I profiled Navy veteran Liz Perez and her trip to Washinton to be honored by the White House for her continued leadership in green technology.

Marine Corps vet J.R. Lewis profiled Recon Marine “Forager” Mike Hanes.

To wrap up the week, I had the privilege of presenting a column from retired Marine Corps Major Gen. Mel Spiese on the need for a paradigm shift in the way we transition service members into the civilian work force.

Today, I’m pleased to present the world premier of an amazing song by John Joseph Torres, the first recording artist under the Ratigan Records label.

Happy Veterans Day to my friends who have worn the uniform and to each and every American who has done the same.
